Through market research and user interviews, develop a dash cam to fit within the iOttie AVIO brand of products. It should be easy to use while driving, visually appealing and communicate its function as an automotive smart device.

PROCESS
Use inspiration and research as a jumping off point to inform the design and feature set. Continue with ideation and rapid prototyping to assess and validate concepts. Refine, refine, refine. CAD hi-res 3D models, render and 3D print. Send out the final CAD to factory to begin tooling discussion.

SYNCING
Connect the camera and phone to an existing iOttie smart mount with built-in alexa to enable dash cam voice control.
LIVE VIEW
Wirelessly connect camera to phone and view the camera feed in real-time.
MOUNTING
Using an adhesive backed puck and magnetic connection, attach the camera in the desired location on your front or rear windshield.
VERSATILITY
Ball joint allows for full 360° rotation, so the camera you use while you drive can be converted into a security cam while you're parked. Or you can just use it to record yourself singing in the car.
PAIRING
Using a built-in wifi antenna, multiple cameras can be paired together allowing for rear cameras, side cameras or internal facing cameras.
PROTOTYPING
Reviewing early round functional prototypes for usability testing, design validation and manufacturing quality.
